Another user inspired by the Over and Under and Helsinki to Hawaii and More featured maps decided to plot paths starting nearly due north from ten major Candian airports, over the north pole to Asia:
Toronto-Bangkok comes close to being commercially plausible, especially since both airports are hubs for Star Alliance carriers Air Canada and Thai Airways.
One of the destinations (CGK) is in the southern hemisphere, so the default map projection was the rectangular or plate carrée projection. He selected a polar orthographic projection which works much better for these routes, though the default is amusing:
