Featured Maps: Helsinki to Hawaii and More (28 March 2010)

The Over and Under featured maps inspired a number of people. Helsinki to Kona not only goes right over the north pole but it's also a route that a fair number of people might fly, though probably not enough to justify a nearly 7000-mile non-stop:

HEL-KOA, over the north pole

Going to the other side of the Big Island (Hilo) comes even closer to the north pole, but wouldn't get much traffic:

HEL-ITO, over the north pole

JFK-BOM doesn't cross either pole but the great circle path does go directly over Helsinki:

JFK-BOM, right over HEL

Let me know if you find one better than HEL-ITO!
