Featured Map for 4 July 2017:
National Parks in the Contiguous United States

Many people in the United States celebrate the country's birthday outside, enjoying summer weather. A good place to do so is one of the country's 59 national parks. Yellowstone National Park, created on Friday 1 March 1872, was the first national park in the U.S. and is generally acknowledged as the world's first national park.

Today's Featured Map shows the 47 national parks in the contiguos United States. Another eight are in Alaska, two are in Hawaii, and two more are located in territories: American Samoa National Park and Virgin Islands National Park.
