Six months ago, Delta's 747s was the Featured Map. It was noted then that Delta's active fleet of 13 Boeing 747-400s was underutilized but that this was typical for large aircraft during the northern winter.
Six months later and the same six daily routes across the Pacific and within Asia are still being operated (red in today's map) but instead of a few military charters there are four new, daily routes. Flights between the Detroit hub and European SkyTeam partner hubs in Amsterdam and Paris have been upgauged to 747s. Delta's Atlanta hub now has 747 service as well, to Amsterdam and to Honolulu.
As in December, there were also a couple of one-time substitutions on short flights from Tokyo, one each to Guam and Taipei.
