Jetting Over Carmageddon

This is the weekend of Carmageddon—the closure of a 10-mile stretch of Interstate 405 through Sepulveda Pass, one of the busiest stretches of freeway in the Los Angeles basin. The purpose of the 53-hour closure is to remove the Mulholland Dr. bridge over I-405.

To help out at least a few gridlocked Los Angelinos, JetBlue Airways offered four $4 Carmageddon flights between Long Beach Airport and Bob Hope Airport in Burbank.
