Featured Map: NASA Announces Permanent Space Shuttle Locations (13 April 2011)

Yesterday, on the 30th anniversary of the first space shuttle launch on mission STS-1 as well as the 50th anniversary of the first manned space flight by Yuri Gagarin, NASA announced the final location of the four space shuttle orbiters:

• Discovery (OV-103) – Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center
• Atlantis (OV-104) – Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex
• Endeavour (OV-105) – California Science Center (Los Angeles)
• Enterprise (OV-101) – Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum (New York)
