On Thursday, American Airlines announed four new trans-Atlantic routes for summer 2024 plus the return of another. Tickets went on sale yesterday.
Three of the new routes will be from American's hub at Philadelphia. Naples will be served with a Boeing 787-8 while Copenhagen and Nice will use a Boeing 787-9. The other new route will use a Boeing 777-200 from Dallas-Fort Worth to Barcelona.
The returning route will use a Boeing 787-8 from Chicago O'Hare to Venice.
The announcement also includes earlier seasonal starts and newly year-round service on various trans-Atlantic routes, plus expansion of existing routes to México, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
