Featured Map for 1 July 2017:
Air Canada's Intercontinental Routes

Today's Canada Day / La Fête du Canada celebrates the 150th anniversary (the sesquicentennial) of the creation of Canada on Monday 1 July 1867 through the British North America Act of 1867, now known as the Constitution Act, 1867. This holiday was previously known as Dominion Day (Le Jour de la Confédération) but was renamed in 1982.

Today's Featured Map shows Air Canada's intercontinental routes (plus one tag within South America) by which many Canadians pursue their love of exploration and travel around the world. Air Canada operates these flights with a fleet of 73 twin-aisle aircraft including the Airbus A330-300, Boeing 767-300ER, 777-200LR and -300ER, and Boeing 787-8 and -9 Dreamliner, plus the single-aisle Airbus A319-100 for twice-daily flights between St. John's, Newfoundland and London (Heathrow). Air Canada is not the only Canadian airline which flies to other continents; a recent Featured Map illustrated WestJet's intercontinental flying.
