Featured Map for 27 January 2015:
Cleveland's Wish List

Sunday will mark the one-year anniversary of United Airlines' announcement that the airline would dismantle its hub at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. An article lamenting this loss lists the top ten destinations which Clevelanders most want to see served via new, non-stop service from Cleveland:

  1. London
  2. Europe
  3. Fort Myers
  4. Seattle
  5. Fort Lauderdale
  6. West Palm Beach
  7. Paris
  8. New York City (still served by United via Newark and by other airlines via multiple New York airports)
  9. Florida (served by multiple airlines)
  10. New Orleans

These routes are the subject of today's Featured Map. The article also notes that Delta Air Lines serves Paris non-stop from nearby Cincinnati (a Delta hub; Paris is a SkyTeam alliance hub) and Pittsburgh (a route which Delta serves seasonally).
