A recent trip to Costa Rica promoted an interest in Nature Air. Apropos yesterday's celebration of Earth Day, Nature Air proclaims itself to be the world's first carbon neutral airline. Using a fleet of de Havilland Canada DHC-6-300 Twin Otter aircraft from a hub at Tobías Bolaños International Airport in San José (5 nm southeast of the capital's main Juan Santamaría International Airport), Nature Air offers scheduled service to 12 destinations in Costa Rica and to Bocas del Toro, Panamá, with continuing service from Liberia to Managua, Nicaragua. The airline also offers charter flights to Barra del Colorado.
