Featured Maps: Cinco de Mayo (5 May 2010)

Cinco de Mayo (The Fifth of May in Spanish) commemorates the 1862 victory of the Mexican Army over French forces at the Battle of Puebla. Within México, the holiday is primarily celebrated in the state of Puebla; the battle was fought in the state's capital, also named Puebla.

Puebla is served by Hermanos Serdán International Airport, which has domestic airline service from five Méxican cities plus one international route from Houston:

flights to Puebla

The lack of flights from México City might seem odd but the two cities are only about an hour's drive apart via the México - Puebla toll road.

You can use the Great Circle Mapper's search feature to explore other airports in México by searching for country:MX, or find airports close to Puebla by searching for near:PBC.
