Qantas Airways grounded its entire fleet of six Airbus A380 aircraft after the uncontained engine failure aboard flight QF 32 six minutes after takeoff from Singapore. In addition to the aircraft which suffered the engine failure, which returned to Singapore, one Qantas A380 is grounded in Sydney, another in Frankfurt, and three aircraft are in Los Angeles.
Today, Singapore Airlines grounded three of its 11 A380s pending engine changes after finding signs of oil leaks. These aircraft are in London, Sydney, and Melbourne.
Today's featured map shows where these nine aircraft are parked.
